Beliefs

God

God is the creator and sustainer of all that is.  He has revealed Himself in nature as the Creator and in the Bible as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, yet as one God.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God.  He is God revealed in the flesh.  In His Divine nature He is truly God, and in His human nature He is truly man.  Jesus Christ is the One crucified for the sins of man, He was resurrected, and He now intercedes on behalf of man.  Jesus Christ is the only path through which man can gain a right standing with God.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit possesses all the attributes of God and indwells believers at the point of conversion.  The Holy Spirit convicts men of their sins and convinces them of that which is right.  The Holy Spirit guides the believer into truth by helping him/her understand God’s Word, the Bible.

The Bible

The Bible is the authoritative Word of God.  The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God and are our infallible rule of faith and practice.

Salvation

The terms of salvation for man are repentance (sincere sorrow for and complete renunciation of sin) and faith (in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord).  Salvation is available to all who will repent and believe in Jesus Christ.  God desires that all be saved and the Holy Spirit strives with all.  Man has a free will and can choose to repent and believe in Jesus Christ, or he can choose to resist the Holy Spirit and spend eternity in torment away from God.

Perseverance

All believers who by grace through faith persevere in the righteousness of God until death will gain eternal life.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ will come again to this world to close out this era of time, glorify His church (all believers), and to judge the world.

Gospel Ordinances

The Bible teaches three ordinances to be practiced by the Church:  1Baptism in water by immersion after conversion, 2The Lord’s Supper (to remind believer’s of the death of Jesus on their behalf), and 3the Washing of the Saint’s feet (a lesson in humility).
